Guiding Values
Values can be defined as the constant and passionate beliefs that direct what we do. These guiding values provide clear direction for Impact.
|
Our values
are essential to
the spiritual
growth and
effectiveness of
the ministry. We
embrace these
core values.
|
|
Christ's
Headship
We value
Christ
as the
head of
our
church
and
submit
ourselves
and all
our
activities
to His
word,
will and
divine
pleasure
(Eph.
1:22-23).
Prayer
We value
sincere
and
fervent
prayer
in our
private
and
corporate
lives in
the
conception,
planning,
and
execution
of all
the
ministries
and
activities
of this
church
(Matt.
7:7-11;
James
5:13-18).
Biblical
Preaching
and
Teaching
We value
the
preaching
and
teaching
of God's
Word
with
integrity
and
authority
so that
unbelievers
may
repent
and know
Christ,
while
believers
may
mature
in Him
(2 Tim.
3:16).
Authentic
Worship
We value
authentic
individual
and
corporate
worship
that
flows
from a
pure
heart
that
acknowledges
God's
supreme
value
and
worth
(Rom.
12:1-2).
Christian
Community
We value
biblically
based
small
groups
where
the
participants
may
evangelize
the
non-Christian,
exercise
their
gifts,
be
shepherded,
and thus
grow in
Christlikeness
(Acts
2:44-46).
Marriage
and
Family
We value
marriage
and
families
by
seeking
to
maintain
and
perpetuate
sanctity
of these
two holy
institutions
(2 Tim.
1:5).
Discipleship
We value
discipleship
and
strive
to
institute
the
Christ
honoring
elements
that
facilitate
authentic
discipleship
(Matthew
28:19-20).
Lost
People
We value
unchurched
individuals
who are
in
rebellion
to our
Lord and
will use
every
available
Christ
honoring
means to
pursue,
win, and
disciple
them
(Luke
19:10).
Ministry
Excellence
We value
the
significance
of
striving
for a
high
standard
of
excellence
and
ethical
behavior
in our
personal
lives,
ministries,
and
activities.
We will
strive
for
constant
improvement
and
creativity
in all
we do
(Col.
3:23-24).
Serving
We
desire
to earn
the
trust,
confidence,
and
goodwill
of our
congregation
and
visitors
every
day by
seeking
to
become a
servant
of all
(Mark
10:45).
“I know
the
plans I
have for
you,
declares
the
Lord,
plans to
prosper
you and
not to
harm
you,
plans to
give you
hope and
a
future.”
Jeremiah
29:11
